Catch-up

Since the last few days have been not so great I have not had a chance to share Chad's first Father's Day or the other events from last weekend.
Last Friday I took off work early and since my sister had the day off too we drove up to spend the afternoon at the hospital. Jenny got to hold Nathaniel for the first time. She is also the first family member to hold our little guy.

Aunt Jenny & Nathaniel

My good friend Michelle came up with us on Saturday to meet Nathaniel. She has been so supportive and helpful throughout my whole pregnancy and early birth and I couldn't wait for her to meet him. She opted to let me hold while she admired and said he was too small for her to hold yet. I'm sure once he adds a few pounds and looses some of the wires she will not be able to resist!

Looking at Mommy
Sunday was Chad's first Father's Day! Nathaniel gave him a sweet card from him and mommy and some books. A couple of "new daddy" books and a couple of preemie books to share with mommy. The pups, Eve and Aries, also gave daddy a card from just the two of them. We spent the afternoon at the hospital and Jason, my brother, also stopped in to see Nathaniel. Jason had not seen him since the night he was born.
Sleeping in Daddy's arms
Happy Father's Day to all the wonderful father's out there and especially to my Husband and new dad, Chad, my Dad and Nathaniel's new Grandpa, Bryan, and Chad's Dad and Nathaniel's other wonderful Grandpa, Jack!
