Back to the IMC

Nathaniel had a pretty good weekend. The antibiotics are working and his infection seems to be going away. Friday they bumped his feeds back up to 25ccs and started adding Enfamil breast milk fortifier to it for the extra calories. He weighed in at 3lbs 6oz Friday night during Chad's visit.
Chad, Jenny and I went up Saturday morning. We spent a couple of hours with Nathaniel before we headed to the inner harbor for lunch. Since Jenny has been with us for the last month the only things she has seen is our house, the hospital and vet hospitals. Chad and I decided we should at least show her the harbor before she left since it is only a few miles from Johns Hopkins. After a yummy lunch and ice cream we went back to the hospital for some more visiting before going home.
Sunday Jenny left and Chad and I headed north to spend the afternoon with Nathaniel. He was moved to the IMC early Sunday morning and when we arrived they were trying to put in an IV so he could get his antibiotics. They had a hard time finding a vein and we waited for about 45 minutes before we could get in to see him. He was exhausted and tired from all the poking and prodding-poor baby! We sat with him for a couple of hours and then headed home since they needed to put in a picc line. He only has 3 or 4 more days of antibiotics but since the nurses are having trouble keeping an IV in him the picc line will make things a whole lot easier. At last nights weigh in he was up to 3lbs 7oz.
Here are some pictures from the weekend.

Oh my word he looks adorable sleeping!

So glad your sister has been here to help out.

Hopefully his infection will get straightened out and they can remove the picc line for good.
