Nathaniel: Mommy I want you to take my shoes off.
Me: Why?
Nathaniel: I stepped on the bug and now they are dirty.
Me: Well that's ok we are outside and will wipe off your shoes before we go in. Once inside we can put on your inside shoes.
Nathaniel: (arms folded) That is not what I want to do and if you tell me that again you will have to go to time out!
Mommy: (trying not to laugh) Those aren't very nice words to say to mommy!
Nathaniel: Sorry mommy! Can we just go inside now and take my shoes off please.
Mommy: Sure buddy!
