Air Show

Goodrich family at the airshow
Chad and I took Nathaniel to the Andrews Air Force Base Air Show last Friday. Nathaniel is all boy and loves cars, trucks, helicopters, airplanes, trains, etc, so we knew he would love it. All week I told Nathaniel we were going to the air show and since it was Chad's idea to take him Nathaniel would say "Daddy take Nathaniel Air Show." We got there around 10 and stayed until a little after 1. At first Nathaniel was more interested in the buses and cars but once he realized he could "drive" the airplanes and helicopters he got really into it.

Exploring the LAV - Daddy used to drive on of these!

It is always a challenge deciding what to take with us when we go places - stroller, walker or just Nathaniel. Chad and I went back and forth all week and finally decided to just take his walker. What a great idea that turned out to be! Once we got inside we put Nathaniel down and let him go. He had a blast walking and running all over the place. Just like any other 2 year old he didn't always go in the direction we wanted but for the most part he was very good and listened well. When he got tired of walking Chad carried him and I carried the walker (since it folds and rolls its not to bad).

It was a great way to spend the day together as a family and we had one very sleepy little boy on the way home.
