Blizzard 2010

We got over 24 inches of snow over the last weekend and while very pretty to look at I now have cabin fever. The snow started Friday afternoon (Feb 5) and didn't stop until late Saturday night. Chad spend all day Sunday diging us out while another storm was brewing in the west. Tuesday (Feb 9) we got hit again with 7 more inches and lots of wind. I have never seen this much snow in my whole life. It is so deep in places that it comes up to my waist. This is a picture of my back deck before the snow even stopped falling!

Since it was so windy and cold we didn't get to enjoy the snow although I am sure it will be here until June so we may still have time, ha! The federal government was closed Monday through Thursday this week (a first) so Chad has been home. Poor guy spent lots of time shoveling but also got to enjoy some fun daddy time with Nathaniel. This was great since he was gone on a business trip the 2 weeks prior to the storm and has to leave on Sunday for another week.
