Nathaniel's preschool class presented "A Christmas Story" to family and friends last Friday during their annual Christmas Program. Chad and I were both thrilled to attend Nathaniel's first play! He played the part of a King and did a fantastic job saying his lines. His lines were, "And so the Kings traveled to the star on that night. And found the Baby underneath the star that shown so bright." Each child was assigned a part and one or 2 at a time they walked down the aisle, said their lines and then took their place over to the side. At the end the class had told the Christmas Story and created the nativity scene. It was magnificent and brought tears to my eyes watching the kids tell the true meaning of Christmas.
In addition to the play the kids also did a poem called Christmas and sang 3 songs - Need A Little Christmas, Holly Jolly Christmas and E-Mail Santa. We are so proud of Nathaniel and all his friends. They each remembered their lines and participated in all the songs. All the parents provided food and we had lunch after the program. His preschool does an awesome job and I am so sad that we have to leave next year for Kindergarten - I have asked if they would consider teaching k thru 12 but they haven't taken me up on my offer yet.
