Halloween & Trunk or Treat

As you have seen from my many previous post Nathaniel was Batman for Halloween. He and his friend Noah trick or treated in our neighborhood. Chad and Don walked them around using a wagon and Lela and I stayed at the house to hand out candy. It was a fun night for all and in addition to candy Nathaniel also scored a couple of toys!

On Friday night we attended Trunk or Treat at Real Life Church. Nathaniel attended vacation bible school there this summer and we have been attending ever since. I think we have finally found a church home after many tries and attempts around our community -  this one feels like home and is a fantastic place for kids. The trunk or treat did not disappoint. Kids collected tokens from the trunks after playing games, turned them in for a treasure map and then went through a maze with stops along the way to teach the children about real treasure in finding and trusting God and then ending with a bag of candy for each kid. They also had hay rides a bonfire and snacks. Oh and the weather was 65 and beautiful - unheard of on Halloween!
