Summer Travels

Chad's work sent him to Europe for 3 weeks and since he was going to be gone for so long I decided it was a good opportunity for Nathaniel and I to visit the grandparents! We loaded up the car and headed to NC on July 21 to spend a few days with Grammy & Pops! Nathaniel had a wonderful time riding the Gator, big tractors, playing in the building and just being a farm boy. Seeing lots of friends while we were in town was also a big bonus. Nathaniel met the cutest black lab puppy I have ever seen and got to play with her a few times. There is just something about a little boy and a lab puppy (no we are not getting Nathaniel a puppy)! We also spent some time helping Grammy and Pops get ready for Aunt Jenny's wedding.

Then on July 26 we headed to SC to visit Gramma & Papa. Mom and Dad were nice enough to let me leave the dogs with them so it would be easier to travel with just Nathaniel. When its 100 degrees outside its hard to stop for potty breaks when you have pups, a toddler and just 1 adult. We had lots of fun in SC going to the pool, playing with all the new toys that Gramma & Papa thought they needed to have at their house for Nathaniel when he visits, playing with turtles, and hanging out with the neighborhood kids!

After 4 or 5 days in SC we went back to NC for a couple days and then loaded up once again to head home. It was a great 2 weeks away and I am so glad we were able to visit and relax. It was bitter sweet arriving home since we had such a good time but were really looking forward to Chad's return. Nathaniel was sooooo happy to see his daddy and so was I!
