Irene decided to make an appearance here this past weekend. It certainly wasn't the worst hurricane I have experienced (remember Fran & Floyd?) but it was no picnic either. We had lots of rain and wind and were without power for about 20 hours. We also lost a big oak tree in the backyard. It fell on an old tree house but it was no good and needed to be taken down so I guess the tree did part of the work for us. Now we just have to remove the tree and mess. Thankfully we are all safe!
