Disney World Trip

We just got back from an incredible family trip to Disney World! I'm going to need to break this post up into several posts due to the 100s of pictures we took. Lets start with the reveal to Nathaniel and plane ride. Disney now uses these Magic Bands as everything - park tickets, food, and room key. The bands are customized and you order them before your trip. We planned our trip last minute due to the fact that Chad was switching jobs and planned a week off in between (more on the new job in a different post). Our bands arrived about a week and a half before our departure. I put them aside and Chad came up with the idea to repackage them with Nathaniel's name and put them in the mailbox. Nathaniel loves to get mail and packages so Saturday the week before we planned to leave we did just that. We had one very excited little boy!

 

 

 

Obviously since Nathaniel's favorite color is orange I ordered just that for him. For a week he told everyone that he was going to Disney world and we watched videos of the rides at the different parks and showed him pictures of all the different characters he would have the opportunity to meet. Finally Sunday, March 30 arrived and we made the very early morning drive to Reagan National Airport for our 7am flight.

 

 

The plane ride was exciting and fun for our little guy! We were a little delayed leaving but made it to Orlando at 10 and over to our hotel the Caribbean Beach Resort (exceptional Disney resort), by 11. It was awesome not having to rent a car and using the Disney bus system for the week. It was surprisingly easy and fun. Once we got checked in we took the bus to Epcot for the rest of the day and that evening. Epcot post coming soon...
