We have been living in the middle of a construction zone for the last couple of weeks. Luckily the construction is all outside! A little over a year ago we had the top deck removed from the back of our house due to some safety concerns and left the smaller lower deck that exits from our basement. Neither deck was in very good shape but the bottom one we used to get in and out of the basement door. After many discussions we finally decided (I begged due to being tired of coming and going through our front door) it was time to replace the deck. At first we were going to just replace the top deck and wait on the bottom but after gathering quotes and talking to contractors we decided to replace the whole thing. We changed the design some and I think we are going to love it. Combined top and bottom is almost the size as the upstairs of my house, so in other words the deck is HUGE!
