15 Months

Nathaniel turned 15 months old on Tuesday and had his well check-up yesterday. Here are the stats:
Weight: 18lbs 13oz - 3rd percentile on regular growth chart (30th on preemie chart)
Height: 30 inches - 15th percentile on regular growth chart (85th on preemie chart)
Head: 18 5/8 inches - 30th percentile on regular growth chart (70th on preemie chart)
The doctor is a little concerned about his weight since he has only gained 9oz since his 12 month check-up so we go back in a month for a weight check. We are also going to schedule an appointment at Johns Hopkins to have an x-ray done of Nathaniel's hips. I can feel them pop when I hold him and its gotten a lot worse over the last few weeks. They don't seem to bother him at all so hopefully its just loose tendons and not hip dysplasia.

Everything else is good. Nathaniel was completely weened from nursing at 14 months and is doing great on whole milk. He eats all table food now and has been since he turned a year old. He is really good at the "army" crawl on his belly but hasn't mastered being up on hands and knees for more than a few seconds. He still loves the walker and it gives him the freedom he desires since he is not as mobile as his brain thinks he should be. Nathaniel hasn't added many words in the last couple of months - at least not any that we can understand, although he "talks" alot. He still says mama and dada but not in the right context yet. He also says go, good girl, and this or that when he points to pictures in a book. He seems to understand lots of words even though he can't say them yet. He is still the cutest most wonderful little boy I know!

This is how Nathaniel felt about getting 3 shots yesterday - mean mommy!
